Preparation Before Transition Part 1: Faithful Preparation

Welcome to the first message in the Preparation Before Transition series.

In this three-part series, we’ll explore how the Lord often prepares us before a transition arrives. My prayer is that these reflections encourage you to faithfully steward what has been placed in your hands and trust the Lord with what comes next.

Opening Reflection

Before a transition arrives, there is often a season of preparation.

Many times, we do not fully understand where the Lord is leading us while we are faithfully serving the assignment that is currently before us. Yet faithfulness calls us to continue preparing, learning, organizing, and stewarding what has been placed in our hands.

Faithful preparation is evidence of trust.

What I Learned in This Season

Preparation may look like establishing routines, organizing resources, learning new skills, reviewing plans, or simply showing up consistently each day.

As preparation becomes a lifestyle, it often creates peace because we are no longer reacting to each day—we are stewarding it.

One of the lessons we learn through faithful preparation is that growth often takes place before the full results become visible.

Let’s Look at the Scripture Together

“The one thing required of such servants is that they be faithful to their masters.”
— 1 Corinthians 4:2 (GNB)

Faithfulness is required before transition arrives.

Before the next opportunity.
Before the next assignment.
Before the next season.

The Lord calls us to be faithful with what has already been placed in our hands.

How I Applied This in My Own Life

Over time, I learned that growth often takes place long before the results become visible.

Whether we are teaching, learning, creating, planting, building, writing, studying, presenting, or developing a new skill, growth is occurring throughout the process.

The full impact is not always visible at the beginning. It may not even be visible in the middle. Yet growth continues.

How You Can Too

Faithful preparation is not about controlling outcomes.

It is about faithfully stewarding today’s assignment and trusting the Lord with tomorrow’s results.

Continue preparing.
Continue learning.
Continue serving.
Continue trusting.
