Welcome to Part 3 of our three-part blog series, Preparing for What Comes Next™.

In Part 1, we reflected on accepting the transition. In Part 2, we reflected on taking the next faithful step with the Lord. Today, we’ll reflect on the daily rhythm with the Lord that faithfully produces the fruit of preparation.

Opening Reflection

Have you ever wondered how the Lord produces lasting fruit through your life?

The answer is found in the continual process.

Fruit is not produced in a single moment.

Long before it becomes visible, the Lord is already at work.

Every day begins with Him.

Every day continues with Him.

Every day ends with gratitude.

Then tomorrow begins again.

That is the daily rhythm with the Lord.

My Daily Rhythm with the Lord

Before begining something new…Before continuing what has already been started…

Before completing what has been started…

I begin with the Lord.

I do not begin my day until I have spent time with Him.

I pray.

I meditate.

I study His Word.

I seek His direction.

I put everything before Him.

I thank Him for our co-partnership and for the day He has given me.

The result is that I become aligned with His purpose for my life.

During my time with the Lord, it may begin with writing a few words.

A simple outline.

Sitting with a blank page.

Sketching an idea.

Following up with someone He places on my heart.

I write it down.

Knowing this, I confidently take the next faithful step because the Lord is faithful.

The Lord and I continue together as He provides ongoing clarity, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, direction, and often confirmation through a resource.

What began as a simple starting point continues developing until the work reaches completion.

At the end of the day, I thank the Lord for the day He has given me, for faithfully walking with me, for His direction, His clarity, His wisdom, His revelation, and for everything we accomplished together. Then I prepare to continue the next day with Him.

Let’s Look at the Scripture Together

Proverbs 16:3 (Good News Bible)

“Ask the LORD to bless your plans, and you will be successful in carrying them out.”

This Scripture reminds me that everything begins by being brought before the Lord.

Each day I place everything before Him, asking Him to bless the work according to His purpose.

When I ask the Lord to bless what I place before Him, I understand that stewardship belongs to me, but all blessings, all fruit, and all outcomes belong to Him.

Because the Lord is faithful, I have confidence that as I faithfully steward what He places before me, He will faithfully accomplish His purpose.

Practical Application

Whatever the Lord has entrusted you to do, cling to Him.

Never let Him go.

Begin each day with Him.

End each day with gratitude.

Then begin again tomorrow.
