Welcome.

One Word Encourage was created from a simple belief:

A single word of encouragement can change everything.

At the heart of our work is the ER™ – The Encouragement Resource.

The ER™ is a growing collection of encouragement-based resources, educational tools, reflections, guides, devotionals, and practical solutions designed to help individuals and families find peace, gain clarity, and move forward with purpose.

Through biblical principles, lived experience, practical application, and encouragement, we create resources that support personal growth, stewardship, readiness, and lasting transformation. Whether navigating a life transition, developing new habits, strengthening family routines, pursuing personal growth, or seeking encouragement for the journey ahead, our goal is to provide practical resources that can be applied to everyday life.

About the Founder

Mary P. Wells is an author, educator, speaker, Cancer Thriver, Advocate and Founder & Chief Visionary Officer of One Word Encourage LLC.

Drawing from her experiences in education, ministry, service, advocacy, and encouragement, Mary creates resources that help people move from reflection to practical application and meaningful growth. Her work is grounded in biblical truth and guided by a desire to encourage, equip, and inspire others through resources that are both practical and uplifting.

As an educator, Mary has served students in grades PK–8 as a Kindergarten Lead Teacher, 4th Grade ELA Teacher, Reading Tutor, Building Substitute, YMCA Youth Counselor, and educational support professional. She is also an author, speaker, and community volunteer committed to helping individuals and families thrive through encouragement, preparation, stewardship, and purposeful living.
